Noble Falls Lunch

Just 50 kilometres north east of Perth on Toodyay Road is the Noble Falls picnic area just past the town of Gidgegannup. We will gather for a social lunch from 12:00 with the options of a picnic on the free electric BBQs or something from the Noble Falls Tavern / Falls Bar and Café.

Dongara Fishing Challenge - Round III Using the long weekend to head a few hours north, at Dongara Tourist Park,there will be boating, kayaking, and beach fishing (weather dependent) comes along for a great way to relax and escape the city, get the lines wet and share a fun weekend of telling eachother how big the one that got away was!

Camp Oven Cookout &amp; Obstacle course

Come join us for a great night camping out around a massive campfire where we bring out the camp-ovens to cook our favourite dishes to share. The next day we can try our hand traversing a few obstacles and exploring the property which is set up for 4WDing.

Augusta Whale Watching

The idea is to make our own long weekend and go down to Augusta on Friday for a whale watching cruise on Saturday. This is an ideal spot to watch the whales up close, and it is one of the only places where Southern Right and Humpback whales actually interact as they head for warm waters to mate and breed. Legend Charters have many good reviews and they have a 23 person boat that does charters in Flinders Bay. Tours depart 10.30am and 1.30pm daily from the Davies Road Boat ramp, returning 2 to 3 hours later. If we do the 1:30 tour it will give people who may want to come from Perth on Saturday morning the chance to come along. You will need to make your own booking online at http://legendcharters.net.au/whale-watching-tours/ or call them on 0419 908 742 and tell them you are with the club to get a Concession rate of $69. We plan to stay at the Molloy Island Caravan Park as it was liked by people who stayed there on a recent club trip. This will allow for people to bring their camper trailers or caravans if they want. There is also some on-site accommodation or if people wish a bit more luxury they could stay in Augusta and meet us for the cruise.
