Nosing around Ninghan

Ninghan Station is situated approximately 360 kilometres from Perth on the Great Northern Highway. The idea is to drive around the area and stop at a few of the points of interest and hopefully see some wildflowers. Sitting at the junction of four bioregions, the property marks the transition from remnant eucalyptus woodlands to expansive mulga plains and native sandalwood is widespread on the property. There are many granite outcrops scattered throughout the property which support many birds and animals and in spring it can be full of wildflowers including many varieties of orchids. There are basic facilities available at the homestead but we will be bush camping away from the crowds. Fuel is available on the way at Wubin about 100 km away.
